My Approach
Leslie Spero is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently in private practice in Westlake Village, California. She specializes in the areas of teens, college-age, and adults. Leslie holds a Master’s Degree from the USC School of Social Work. She has an additional Master’s Degree from Pacific Oaks College in Human Development/Child Development. Leslie has years of experience working with families from traditional families, multi-racial families, multi-cultural families, divorced families, single heads-of-household by choice, grandparents raising grandchildren, etc.
Her work experience includes 11 years as a preschool teacher, director, and lecturer. For the last 38 years, Leslie has worked as a social worker in many nonprofit agencies and private practices. She worked for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as an emergency intake specialist, sexual abuse specialist, family reunification representative, and officer in the juvenile court system. Leslie has been a mental health therapist with children and teens in traditional mental health settings, school settings, and group home facilities. With the expansion of her practice, Leslie is currently working with teens and young adults transitioning into college, from college to the workforce, and beyond.
Adult issues can range from personal relationships, work relationships, parenting, life transitions, caring for aging parents, and more. Leslie can help support the ever-changing stages of our lives.
